FAQ

Does submitting the reservation form hold my date? No. Submitting the form does not reserve the CMD Greenway. All requests are reviewed by Greenway staff, and a date is confirmed only after approval, a signed rental agreement, and payment are received. 

 

Is the Greenway a private event space? No. The CMD Greenway is a publicly accessible campus thoroughfare. While approved events are granted limited use of designated areas, the space remains open to pedestrians and visitors at all times. 

 

What are the hours for after-hours events? After-hours events may take place between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends. All events must conclude by 10:00 PM, including music. 

 

Can I bring food or hire a food truck? Yes. Caterers must be licensed and insured. Food trucks must have a valid City of Charleston Mobile Food Vendor Permit. All food vendors are responsible for removing their own trash and leaving the Greenway clean. 

 

Are tables, tents, or equipment provided? Existing Greenway tables and chairs may be available. Folding tables and pop-up tents can be rented for an additional fee. 

 

What happens if it rains or there is severe weather? The Greenway is an outdoor venue and weather-dependent. In the event of hazardous weather or safety concerns, Greenway staff may require modifications, pauses, or rescheduling. Staff will work with event organizers to determine next steps when necessary.
